Madrid four points clear of Barcelona

File: Madrid players congratulate Ronaldo
With one game at hand, Real Madrid went four points clear of hot rival Barcelona on the La Liga table on Sunday after thrashing Real Sociedad 3-0.
Barcelona had only scraped a draw at Real Betis earlier today, but Madrid put everything in full gear when they hosted Sociedad at Bernabeu.

Though Sociedad had 59 per cent of possession overall, they were unable to convert several chances they had at goal.
Madrid however were more accurate inside the box.
Mateo Kovacic opened scoring in the 38th minute, with Cristiano Ronaldo doubling the advantage six minutes into the second half.
Alvaro Morata completely killed Sociedad with a third goal in the 82 minute, heading into the net a cross from Lucas Vazquez.
The third goal came eight minutes after Sociedad’s Inigo martinez was red carded.
Madrid now have 46 points against Barcelona and Sevilla with 42 points,
